Bringing Hope to Uganda's Orphans

I would like to thank you for your interest in Uganda Children's Aid Network (UCAN) and for taking the time to visit us online. My wife and I, who are both educators, believe in making a difference in the lives of children, in this case, the lives of orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) of the Sub-Sahara region of Africa. When we learned of the plight, yet solvable condition, of these orphans and vulnerable children we felt mandated to act. This is how Uganda Children's Aid Network (UCAN) was born in 2006. Our goal is to offer Free Quality Education, Health Care to orphans and vulnerable children, and means by which the entire community is able to improve upon its way of life. Our focus is currently in the rural areas of South Western Uganda. Once this project’s self-sustenance is achieved, our vision is to replicate our success in other locations experiencing the same issues and needs.
